Description
This flail, a tool used for threshing by hand, was made by the donor when he first started farming in about 1912. He used it to thresh out peas for seed, an operation which required care. The initials of the maker, T. Harris, are burned into the handle. The swivel is larger than usual and the swingel, quite rough and made of birch, has been squared off.
