Description
This hand-operated dressing machine, also known as an 'Amesbury Heaver' was used in conjunction with a winnowing machine. The sieves separate the grain into two grades and the straw runs off. It is inscribed 'MUNDAY N. DEVIZES'. It came from Milton Lilbourne, Wiltshire.
