Description
This is a certificate awarded to Charles Parsons' trap nest at the 1905 Plymouth Exhibition. These nests were used in egg laying trials and the hen remained in the nest after ‘trapping’ until released by the poultry-keeper, who then recorded the egg laid. The certificate is decorated with classical figures showing the seasons, spring, summer, Autumn, Winter; coloured in brown, gold, green and red.
