Description
A set of beam scales, dating from circa 1910 and inscribed 'Birmingham'. They were probably made by Avery or Salter. They are made of iron and consist of a stand with a beam across the top, from which hangs a cradle and a platform for weights. The scales were used at Edwards & Godding Ltd., ironmongers of Newbury, Berkshire, for weighing bar iron.
