MERL 'Handwritten catalogue' form – 'SHOE (MUD) // Livestock - Horses - Shoes', Letter, W. S. Redhed to Mr Jewell, 25 January 1961 - 'Yesterday I finally got around to sending the hetchel and the wooden mud shoe for a horse. The latter is of a different type from the one I sent to Pinto - it seems that most every blacksmith had his own idea as to how one should be made.'
