  • System of arrangment
Negatives have been arranged, wherever possible, according to Eric Guy's original numbering sequence, slightly simplified. Numbers in the range PDX289 PH1/1100-1199 were not used originally, and have now been assigned to unmarked items. Prints were originally matched with negatives and arranged in a separate series (P DX289 PH2/1), and those that didn't have a matching negative were filed under subject headings (P DX289 PH2/2-18). Following on from work undertaken in 2009 to compile all the prints under subject headings an updated catalogue was produced in 2020. Reference numbers for the prints that matched negatives include the original negative number those that couldn't be matched were assigned a number from 4000 onwards. All prints are now filed under subject headings based on those used by the photographer (P DX289 PH2/2-19). There is now no series referenced P DX289 PH2/1.
