Sophie Jordan

Sophie Jordan (she/her) is the Education Officer of Reading Students’ Union. She recently graduated from her Undergraduate degree with a 2:1 in English Language and Literature at the University of Reading. 

In her time studying, Sophie has actively engaged with the Reading Students’ Union. This includes her involvement as a Senior Representative for the School of Humanities, Student Voice member, sitting on the committees of Reading University English Society and Reading University Knights Athletics Club. She has also supported students through her role as a STaR Mentor and Reading Scholars Mentor. 

Sophie’s remit at Reading Students’ Union includes overseeing, mentoring, and promoting Reading Students’ Union’s course and senior reps. Sophie regularly attends the highest level of teaching and learning meetings to better the academic experience for the students at the University of Reading. As a member of the Council, she is involved in leading on academic campaigns and projects. 

Her membership to Council allows her to ensure that the students are represented within the Council meetings particularly within the areas that focus upon her portfolio as Education Officer.
