Biography
Mr Robin Evans graduated from the University of Reading in 1975 with a degree in estate management. He spent the early part of his career as a land agent for the National Trust and then became chief executive of the Landmark Trust for eight years. In 1995 he was appointed palaces director at Historic Royal Palaces who manage the five unoccupied Royal Palaces in London including the Tower of London and Hampton Court. In 1999 he joined British Waterways (now the Canal & River Trust) as commercial director and from 2002 to 2013 was chief executive. Robin Evans is a fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and a companion of the Chartered Institute of Management. He is a board member of the Valuation Tribunal Service.
