These are eight pipes, all of which have broken stems. Five have a flattered base to the bowl and three have spurs. Six have elongated bowls. Mr. Rumble donated two separate boxes of pipes and pipe pieces to the Museum. The Box 1 has clay pipe pieces from Queen's Square in Bristol. They came from a midden which came to light when some trees blew over in a storm. These pieces were not accessioned. The Box 2 has clay pipes and pieces from London (some found in the Thames). A selection of these are accessioned in this file. The rest were not worth keeping. The Box 3 has journals and other printed material given to the library.
