Beskrivning
This is a six-sided green glass bottle with a flat lip and a plastic stopper. Three sides of the bottle are smooth and three sides are fluted. The label reads, 'POISON NOT TO BE TAKEN 880 AMMONIA // R. COMYNS MPS CHEMIST SANDHURST BERKS'. The bottle was dispensed by R. Comyns, a chemist in Sandhurst, Berkshire, and was used to hold ammonia, some of which is still inside. It was found by the donor in his father's shed in Ashburton, Devon, while clearing it out after his father's death in 1983. It is one of a number of objects found in the shed by the donor and donated to MERL (object numbers 83/98-83/128).
