Beskrivning
This milk can is made of tinned metal with a hinged brass lid and a handle. The lid is engraved with ‘G. R. Davey & Sons’. Theare are three different sized measures for measuring milk attached. One is a one gill measure made of tinned metal, with a curved brass handle and an official stamp and 'Gill' on the side. They were used by Davey & Sons, a dairy firm in Brentwood, Essex.

1 milk can and 3 measures: tinned metalA medium sized can or kettle made of tinned metal. It has a rim at the bottom and brass bands on each side for carrying the small measures. There is also a brass wire bracket inside to hang the measures on. The brass lid fits tightly and is attached by a brass hinge. It is elaborately engraved with the name and address of the owner (G. R. Davey & Sons, 16 High St., Brentwood) and a leaf design. The handle swings easily from side to side. The measures (one pint, half-pint and gill) are made of tinned metal and have curved handles to hang them from the can.
