This is a car lamp, manufactured by Joseph Lucas Ltd., of Birmingham c.1920. It was acquired by the donor from the Shelley Rolls estate, and was said to have been removed from the car of C.S. Rolls, of 'Rolls Royce' fame, although Royce died in 1910, before this lamp was thought to have been made.
