Beskrivning
This is an iron dibble, a tool used for making a hole in the ground. According to the donor, this dibble may date back to the mid-nineteenth century, and was used for planting potatoes. After the ground was ploughed with a one-way plough, the user jabbed the dibble into the ground at each step forward, after which another worker placed a potato into the depression. After this was completed, the ground was harrowed over.
