This implement was said by Lavinia Smith to be used for cleaning bricks. It consists of an oblong iron blade and a wooden handle. Nothing else is known about it.

MERL 'Catalogue index' card – 'This implement is said by Miss Smith to have been used for cleaning bricks. The head is made of iron, the main blade being welded onto the handle, which in turn is sunk into a wooden handle and held in place by a band of iron.
