This basket was acquired by the donor in Sark, in the Channel Islands, where it is a traditional design. It is a frame basket made of split hazel and willow. It is a boat-shaped, round bottomed basket, with one flat end with a square decoration, and with a handle.

Flat end with square decoration, over the diagonal crossing of the 2 main hoops. * 9 spelks are added, 3 below, 3 between each section of the frame.
