Beskrivning
This walking stick dates from the early-twentieth century, and was used in Hampshire, in the area between Basingstoke and Winchester. It originally belonged to the donor's uncle, a John Mercer. This hollow bamboo stick was used as a tobacco pipe. The lowest section unscrews to show a flexible stem and mouthpiece, and the bowl is in the stick handle.
