Описание
A thermometer consisting of a long pointed metal rod attached to a dial, which measures temperature in farenheit from 20 to 160 degrees. It was made by Opancol Limited in West Germany circa 1950. It is branded a 'Silometer', and was probably used for testing the temperature of stored grain, either in sacks or silos. It belonged to the donor's neighbour in Nettlebed, Oxfordshire, who had been a farmer.
