These are three pencils which were used by the donor's father, who was a tailor. They are consisting of one wax and two graphite pencils used in tailoring trade for marking out patterns. The first one is a red and black flat pencil from graphite with the inscription: MADE IN USA // DIXON RED AND BLACK // 998 - H HARD', the second one is a green and black flat pencil from graphite with the inscription: 'MADE IN ENGLAND BY CUMBERLAND // PENCIL CO. LTD // BLACKEDGE', and the third is a red pencil from wax with the inscription: 'HORACE H. HANCOCK'S // WAX PENCIL'.

MERL Miscellaneous note- Georgia Charitou- 4 November 2014- The object belongs to the Kellman Collection. The items of the collection were used by the donor's father, Alexander Kellman, who was a tailor in Queens Road, Reading, Berkshire.
