Описание
A full length overall worn when milking cattle. It is made of pieces of soft brown leather stitched together, with slit pockets, bound buttonholes, a flap front button fastening and a brown cloth lining. It was used between 1920 and 1955 on two farms in Devon.

They were used by a dairy farmer, initially at Marsh Farm, near Wrafton, North Devon between 1920 and 1935. He went on to use them at Pottington Farm, near Barnstable, Devon between 1935 and 1955. Although utilitarian, the hardwearing nature of leather and the high quality workmanship meant the items were considered worth keeping even though they were no longer in active use. Mass-produced working clothes became more popular during the post-war period.
