Thomas Hennell (Artist)

An ink drawing by Thomas Hennell (1903–45) showing a wheelwright's yard, including a horse and cart, a brick tyring furnace, an iron tyring platfrom and a pair of iron dogs. The names of the features, 'strake-tyre chimney, patent wheel-plate, dogs for open fire’, and 'Kingdsown, N. Kent' are written by the artist on the reverse. The drawing probably dates from the 1930s. It was purchased from the artist's sister.
