Описание
This is a cheese mould, also known as cheese vat, chesset or chessel. It is coopered, consisting of thirteen staves of oak held together by three iron bands which are rivetted together. The base is made of two pieces of wood and has 24 drainage holes. It was used for moulding and draining cheese.
