Описание
A billhook is an edge tool used in hedging, coppice work and other woodland trades, and the tool shows great regional variety with each area having its own accepted pattern and shape. The blade of this billhook is inscribed 'SOLID STEEL' and 'W. GILPIN // WEDGES HILLS // WARRANTED', with two images of crossed hammers. The handle is made of ash wood. It was used in Peppard Common, Oxfordshire.
