Описание
Horseshoes are nailed or glued to the horse's hooves to protect the hooves from wear and tear. Nothing is known of the origin of this horseshoe, which was for a draught horse. It is unfullered, meaning it does not have a groove running along the surface into which the nail holes are placed, and has seven nail holes. The heels are turned inwards. It has no caulkins, protrusions at the toe and heel of the horseshoe which provide additional traction, but instead has a toe clip which helps to hold the horseshoe on. This horseshoe has three nail holes on one side, four on the other.
