Описание
This is a roller butter print, used to decorate butter. It originally came from Moreton-in-Marsh, in Gloucestershire. It bears a formal design in four distinct parts. On one side of the roller are regular straight indentations, then a very narrow band of indentations. The third band has deeper pointed oval indendations carved obliquely, followed by a final narrow band of indentations.

The next band is .4 inches wide and has deeper pointed oval indentations carved obliquely and finally there is another narrow band similar to the second band. Thus the roller is .9 inches wide. // The handle is well made with very slight shoulders above where the two sides join, a carved ring at its narrowest point and three indentations on each side where it is braodest.
