Hop tokens were given to pickers as their baskets were measured and emptied. Payment was made at the end of each week according to the number of tokens each picker possessed. This lead token has a diameter of 0.8 inches, and is much thicker than is usual. It belonged to the Manor Farm, Kenardington, in Kent. It has 'T.W.8' stamped on it. It was also previously part of the collections at the Curtis Museum, in Alton.
