Описание
This sickle was used for manually cutting corn at either Aylesbury or Buckingham, Buckinghamshire. It has a rather open curve and is very narrow, probably as a result of much use. It once had a serrated edge, but traces only now remain close to the handle. There is a leather gaurd behind the blade where it meets the handle to prevent the back of the blade digging into the user's fingers. The handle itself is plain and turned.
