These records consist mainly of production registers of traction engines produced by several of the leading steam engine manufacturers. The lists were transcibed and annotated, with additional information, such as subsequent owners, by Mr Alan Duke, records officer of the society. Many of these lists were produced from original documents which did not survive to reach any archive repository. Other records in this collection include copies of advertising literature and photographs.
