This is a rectangular brass nameplate, with a screw hole in each corner. It is engraved with an inscription, filled in in black, reading 'Mrs PULLEN, // MIDWIFE, L.O.S., C.M.B. // TRAINED NURSE.' It was used by Georgina Pullen (later Cook) of Andover, Hampshire and Hambleden, Buckinghamshire, during her work as a rural midwife in 1914-17.
