Beschrijving
This is a porcelain pipe with the bowl parallel to the stem which is made of wood. The mouthpiece has broken off and the stem screws into the porcelain bowl which is in two parts. There is a metal rim and perforated cap on the top of the bowl. The front of the bowl has a painted decoration of a five stag in a wild landscape.

MERL Miscellaneous note- Georgia Charitou- 28 October- This is probably a German pipe. The mouthpiece would have been much longer. Having the bowl parallel to the stem meant the tobacco juices would run into the base of the pipe, and could be tipped away by removing the stem.
