This is a rabbit trap found at Tilney Hall School in Rotherwick, Hampshire. It consists of a flat iron bottom piece 26cm in length and 2.5cm in width. The front is upturned, and into the pair of holes found there are fixed the two ends of the rectangular shaped paws. The back of the jaws are fixed onto an upright projection 8.5cm from the front. The spring top shaft is 16cm long and is riveted 2cm from the back of the bottom piece. A square metal piece encloses the two pieces and acts as an extra hold whilst the trip is set. The platform and the metal clip to hold it in place when the trip is set still exist, but these parts have been bent so no longer work.
