This wooden gingerbread mould is incised with patterns of two figures on one side and the intials 'S. C.' on the other. It was given to Lavinia Smith by Mr John Denniss, whose family had been bakers in East Hendred for 200 years.

MERL 'Catalogue index' card – 'This gingerbread mould was given to Miss Smith by Mr. John Denniss, whose family had been the bakers of East Hendred for 200 years. // The wooden block measures 7.25 by 4.5 inches and is 1.2 inches thick.
