Beschrijving
This is a farmhouse lantern made of tinned iron with four horn panels and three dormers for ventilation. Lanterns like this were used in farm buildings such as stables and byres, and by shepherds, because they are hard-wearing and there is no danger of broken glass. This lantern dates from the first half of the nineteenth century and came from Sussex.
