This saddler's clamp consists of two shaped sides, which act a sprung vice to hold work whilst the saddler stitches the leather, such as stitching the welt to the skirt and the skirt to the seat of the saddle. This clamp was used by a saddler and cobbler in Yattendon, Berkshire, who had worked there from 1901 until the early 1960s.
