This is a wooden framed harrow, with twenty four iron pointed tines which were used to break up the surface of the soil ready for sowing. There is an 'X' incised on its iron cross bar. It consists of 4 bowed strips of wood as well as 1 straight centre piece. The iron hoop at the top corner is fixed by a pin and nut, which also has an iron hook below it.

1 harrow: wood and metal [iron]; good condition...pin and nut. This also holds an iron bar which runs diagonally to the centre strip. There is an iron hook below the iron loop; 'X' incised on the iron crossbar
