The box is cylindrical and made of tin with a red lid on which the following is written: '250 improved copper U.M.C No primers 2 For paper and brass shot shells Interchanging with others No 2 primers Union metallic Cartridge Co. Bridgeport, Conn U.S.A. A C Hobbs patent Sept 14th 69'.
