This is a ceramic decorated plate, manufactured by Josiah Wedgwood and Sons of Barlaston, Staffordshire, in 1988. It is entitled 'Morning in the Farmyard' and is the first in the series 'Life on the Farm' designed by the artist John L. Chapman (1946–). The plate depicts a colourful scene of a timber-framed house on the left and two horses pulling a cart on the right. The plate is number 8623H of an edition limited to 150 firing days. The plate comes in a box and with a leaflet and certificate of authentication.
