A half-size wooden wheelbarrow, painted red and green. It was made by the donor's grandfather, David Hawkes, circa 1932. He was a wheelwright at the coachbuilding and wheelwrighting firm, Oxford & Hawkes, of Englefield Green, Berkshire, which was established at the start of the twentieth century and closed in the late 1950s. The firm made wheelbarrows like this at slack times.
