Beschrijving
This was used for chopping and slicing root vegetables such as turnips. Its most recent user, a farmer, found it on a waste heap and used it for many years at 'The Flothers', Slaley, Northumberland. The donor had not seen any similar root slicers in Northumberland (where it was used). It is thought that the shaft and handle are not original.
