The origin of this screw crease is not known. A screw crease is an adjustable double crease - the screw is used to adjust the distances between the two crease blades. The user can then make two parallel lines in leather of a specific distance apart. The screw on this crease is heart shaped. The donor was a saddler from Great Oakley, Essex.
