- [nb-NO]Description[nb-NO]These eight nails were used for attaching an arming iron to the axle bed of a wooden wagon axle. Each nail is flat headed and tapering. They seem to be hand made, and of varying lengths. Axle arming was fixed to the arm of a wooden axle to take the wear of the box in the revolving wheel. The origin of these nails is not known.
