This is a hank of thick string made up of four smaller hanks. They are stored in a small sack. Also, there is a label tied to the string: 'From G. TWYMAN AND SON LTD // CANTERBURY' and stamped on the sack 'HUNTERS OF CHESTER'. The string was used for tying up hop pockets.
