This is a funnel shaped alluminium strainer with additional straining lid whits fits into it. The strainer is made in a stepped fashion so that it will fit into different sized containers. There is a packet of paper filters with the strainer.

MERL Miscellaneous note- Georgia Charitou- 10 November 2014-The object was originally owned by Messrs Smith of Park Farm, Churchill, Kingham, Chipping Norton in Oxfordshire. This strainer was given to Mr. Banks, Milk Marketing Board Assistant Regional Officer, and subsequently used by him and Harry Fall [see "The Falls of Burbage Wharf"] of Milk Reception annually at the Newbury Show. The equipment was from the Milk Marketing Board which operated from the Southern Regional Office of the MMB, 39 Christchurch Road, Reading. Mr. Banks worked from the office at Christchurch Road from 1961 onwards.
