This is a 'Mysto' knapsack sprayer with polished copper container. It has manufactured by W. T. French and Son in Ladywood, Birmingham. It was used for distributing insecticides over vines, fruit trees, hops, potatoes, and destruction of charlock etc.

The sprayer in our Museum store is model No. 1 which is similar but has polished copper container rather than tinned copper container). Manufactured by W. T. French & Son of Birmingham. it is also part of the Zeneca collection.
