This is a trap used for killing rabbits and squirrels, with two spring-release arms and pan trigger. This is possibly from Caversham, Berkshire as it was found by the river in Caversham.

This 'humane' rabbit trap was invented by Mr R W Juby, Assistant Pest Officer, Hereford AEC in 1957/8. These traps, approved to take rabbits in their holes, were originally made by Gilbertson & Page, Hertford in the 1960s.
