This junior D-shaped bicycle was made by George Frost of Spencers Wood, Reading, in 1975. It is made of buff willow with lapping of light cane, and has two leather straps with buckles for attaching it to the bicycle.

MERL ‘Temporary Catalogue’ form – ‘The base and the “rope” around the top edge are made of buff willow as are the warp uprights. The rest is light cane lapping. There are two leather straps with buckles for attaching the basket to bicycle. Willow came from near Taunton, Somerset. Cane from ? Far East according to information from maker.’
