This wooden gingerbread mould, made of beech wood, is incised with a pattern of three fish on a platter on one side and a six pointed star surrounded by hearts on the other. It was given to Lavinia Smith by Mr John Denniss, whose family had been bakers in East Hendred for 200 years.

MERL 'Catalogue index' card – 'Mr. John Denniss of East Hendred (Berkshire) gave this gingerbread mould to Miss Smith. The block is 7.85 by 5.75 by 1 inches. On one side there is a design incorporating three fishes on a platter and on the other one including a six pointed start surrounded by hearts.
