A bow saw, used by the donor's mother's grandfather, who was a shepherd in Middle Wallop, Hampshire, and died in 1966 at the age of 94. The donor described the saw as a 'wheelwright's felly saw' (a felloe saw - used for cutting the felloes, or rim sections, of a wheel). It consists of a saw blade which is mounted in a wooden frame which kept taut by means of a length of wire and a toggle.
