This is a print from a mezzotint of a painting entitled 'A Short Horned Heifer, Seven Years Old', by Thomas Weaver, 1811. It was engraved by William Ward and was published on 13 December 1811 by W. Robinson of Darlington. This print is dedicated to the breeder, Mr Robert Colling of Barmton, Durham. It is one of a collection of paintings and prints thought to date from the last quarter of the 18th century to c.1860.
