This pigeon or dove basket, for keeping tame birds in, is made of willow. It is rectangular in shape with an arched roof, a small door in one of the long sides, a feeding platform at each end and a roped handle on the top. The donor found it under a roof at West Green, Hampshire. It is believed to date from pre-1900.
