Two smoothing planes, used for general smoothing and producing a finished surface in wood. The planes have a coffin-shaped wooden stock and a flat sole. They belonged to Mr W. W. Field, a wheelwright in Winson, Gloucestershire. Mr Field retired circa 1960 and the business closed.
